We are recruiting for social workers and other key roles within our Children’s Social Work, Early Help and Youth Support Teams to help support our vulnerable children, young people and families across the city.

A career in Social Work at Southend on Sea offers the following salaries:

Social Worker:  £32,798 – £38,553

Advanced Practitioner: £39,571 – £45,648

Team Manager: £46,662 – £51,730

We also offer a generous recruitment & retention package when recruiting to certain teams. Eligible employees will receive a retention payment after spending one year with the team.  Where this is payable, details will be included on the job vacancy advert.

Flexible Working

You will not need to be office based every day. We offer a blended approach to support a positive work life balance.

We encourage teams to spend some time together face to face as we know how beneficial this can be, so you will work at least two days a week with your team. You have the flexibility to work the remainder of the week from home.

We are also open to flexible working patterns, including part time. Tell us what will work for you and we will accommodate your preferred working pattern where we can.
